Gambling Geofencing

Gambling Geofencing

Gambling Geofencing

When a teen’s device enters a geofenced gambling zone, such as a casino, betting lounge or other flagged location, TeenBack quietly triggers a supportive message. It’s designed to interrupt the urge in the moment and, if enabled, send a simple mirrored alert to the parent.

Vaping Geofencing

Gambling Geofencing

If a teen crosses into a geofenced vape shop or vaping hotspot, TeenBack sends a brief, targeted message that speaks to health, goals and social pressure in real time. The intervention shows up at the door, giving the teen a chance to pause before a pattern deepens.

Drinking Geofencing

Gambling Geofencing

Drinking Geofencing

When a teen enters a geo-fenced liquor store, bar, club or similar venue, TeenBack delivers an age-appropriate prompt that names the risk and offers a safer path. For families that choose it, a mirrored alert can also go to the parent or guardian for timely support.

Behind TeenBack is a simple, uncomfortable reality: teen addiction is no longer tied to a single behavior or a single place. Across compulsive screen time and social media use, online gambling, and early, widespread exposure to vaping and alcohol, adolescents are spending increasing amounts of time in digital environments that normalize high-risk behavior. TeenBack is designed to counter that trend, providing a continuous layer of digital protection for teens and families through structured, real-time support.

TeenBack isn’t another app competing for attention. It’s a digital safety and SEL-aligned intervention system designed to interrupt harmful screen-time patterns, not add to them. Teens now average 8.5 hours a day on their phones, where gambling prompts, drinking culture, and vaping trends circulate without pause.

TeenBack delivers brief, evidence-informed micro-interventions that strengthen self-management, reduce impulsivity, and reinforce district wellness goals all through the device teens already use.

Changing the Narrative Changes the Outcome.

We use the world’s most addictive device to fight the world’s most addictive diseases.

That’s where triggers start, where pressure builds, and where algorithms push risk faster than adults can intervene. We take that same environment and flip the power dynamic. Hour by hour, TeenBack interrupts the cycle with micro-interventions that are short, therapeutic messages designed to steady a teen right when they need it most.

TeenBack is the first hour-by-hour prevention platform built for the three addictions reshaping teen lives worldwide: gambling, vaping, and drinking.

Why TeenBack matters now:

  • Teens spend an alarming 8.5 hours per day on their smartphones
  • Teen gambling has tripled in five years, driven by non-stop mobile ads
  • Teen vaping has surged more than 400% since 2018
  • Early drinking now ties directly to depression, anxiety, and suicide risk
  • 95% of teens keep their phones within reach, day and night
  • Endless ads, “friends,” and algorithms normalize what harms them

Our behaviorally intelligent delivery system shapes each message to the teen receiving it — their age, their risk patterns, their moments of vulnerability. No repeats. No templates. Just the right text at the right time, again and again. Because the fight isn’t one big moment. It’s hundreds of tiny ones. And we show up for every single one.

Teen's screen-time has hit 8.5 hours a day. Teens don’t live day-to-day...they live hour-to-hour. TeenBack meets that reality with targeted micro-intervention texts delivered every hour, interrupting high-risk impulses and helping teens return to safer emotional footing.

TeenBack Supports SEL:

Self-Awareness

TeenBack prompts students to notice what they’re feeling and doing in real timeso they can see the link between emotions, triggers, and behavior.

Self-Management

Short, evidence-informed messages give students concrete ways to manage urges, delay gratification, and cope with stress, practicing regulation skills in the exact moments they’re needed.

Social Awareness

Notifications encourage teens to consider how their choices affect others and to see past “everyone’s doing it” culture, reinforcing empathy and perspective-taking.

Relationship Skills

TeenBack reminds students to reach out to trusted adults and peers, and models healthy boundaries, communication, and help-seeking when issues start to impact relationships.

Responsible Decision-Making

In key moments, TeenBack walks students toward small, safer choices—log off, walk away, skip the hit or bet—helping them build a habit of constructive, caring decisions over time.

Insights Into Our Texting Strategies:

Teen addiction isn’t a character issue, it’s a timing issue. Cravings don’t wait for school hours, and traditional support only shows up after the damage is done. TeenBack flips the model. We reach teens in the exact moments when risk forms: the pause between classes, the boredom after school, the late-night spiral, the emotional dip after a fight, the spark right before a bet, a hit, or a drink.

Because we’re hourly, not “whenever something goes wrong,” our system interrupts what the addiction is trying to automate.

TeenBack works because:

  • Teens spend an alarming 8.5 hours per day on their smartphones
  • Teen gambling has tripled in five years, driven by non-stop mobile ads
  • Teen vaping has surged more than 400% since 2018
  • Early drinking now ties directly to depression, anxiety, and suicide risk
  • 95% of teens keep their phones within reach, day and night
  • Endless ads, “friends,” and algorithms normalize what harms them

Grant-Funded Support. Every School. Every Student. Every Hour.

Most districts can adopt TeenBack without touching their general operating budgets. Because we function as a digital mental-health, early-intervention, and safety-risk–reduction platform, schools can use existing grant streams and categorical funds to cover the full cost. TeenBack requires no staffing, no instruction time, and no hardware making it one of the easiest preventive tools to implement at scale.

  • Student Mental-Health & Wellness Funding: Supports anxiety reduction, emotional regulation, and early-intervention systems.
  • Substance-Use Prevention & Education Grants: Covers tools addressing vaping, drinking, and emerging behavioral addictions.
  • Digital Citizenship & Online-Safety Funds: Applies to platforms that reduce risk in online environments where harm originates.
  • Behavioral-Risk Monitoring & Intervention Budgets: Fits within SEL, MTSS Tier 1 and Tier 2 support frameworks.
  • School Climate & Safety Improvement Grants: Used for districtwide prevention systems that improve well-being across campuses.
  • Federal/State Innovation & EdTech Modernization Funds: Qualifies as a technology-driven early-intervention model.
  • Health Department Partnerships: In many regions, public-health agencies co-fund youth addiction-prevention tools.

TeenBack’s proprietary use of geofencing turns specific risk locations into moments of support.

What is geofencing? Geofencing uses GPS coordinates to draw a virtual boundary around real-world locations. Each high-risk place such as  a vape shop, liquor store, or betting location can be defined by its exact street address or by latitude/longitude points within a zip code. When a teen’s device crosses into one a high-risk geo-fenced zone, the system detects that entry and automatically triggers a pre-set message to the teen, and, if enabled, a mirrored alert to the parent. All with making sure each and every teen is aware of all minefields...before, during and after the rsk.

  • High-risk zones are defined in advance
With parents or schools input we choose locations such as gambling venues, vape shops and liquor stores,  or other flagged areas that need to be treated as high-risk zones inside the system.
  • A message is triggered in real time when a teen enters that zone
As soon as a teen crosses into one of these areas, the teen receives a focused notification on their phone, reminding them of their goals and prompting a pause before acting.
  • Parents receive a mirrored alert
For families using Family Bridge, parents get a matching geo-triggered message, so they know when their teen has entered a high-risk area and can decide if or how to follow up.

When a teen enters a designated high-risk zone, the platform activates targeted, mental-health–focused messages for them and mirrored texts for parents so guidance shows up exactly when environment and temptation overlap.

Teen addiction is now firmly woven into daily life. It shows up on school buses, in classrooms, in hallways and in every teen’s pocket. Betting props are pushed relentlessly through algorithms, vaping trends spread through likes, shares and posts on TikTok and Instagram, and drinking culture is normalized by friends and comments on Meta. We're here to get every TeenBack.

TeenBack is there with you all the way, standing alongside school's SEL and mental health supports with hour-by-hour text interventions that meet students where these pressures begin. We deliver hourly micro-interventions that meet students exactly where risky decisions form: between classes, after practice, late at night, or moments after a social trigger. This isn’t another curriculum. It’s real prevention, on the device that fuels the problem transformed into a tool that protects your students instead.
